We would also like to acknowledge Miss Davis and the Garden Committee for guiding our staff and students this first year, harvesting each week, and for activities beyond their contracted day! Our 5th grade students received a special experience as our guest chef, Chef Ryan from Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill in Caesars, used fresh basil from our our DMC Garden to make pizzas! This was an exciting treat and a wonderful way to enjoy the fruit of our labor in the DMC Garden.
What a wonderful event with a great turn out! Thank you to all that joined our celebration of spring! The school choir did a fantastic job in setting the mood for the evening. Enjoy a few photos from this evening!
Tremendous appreciation for Chef Ryan Calvo from Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill @ Caesar’s Palace for coming in and doing a demonstration at our school! Chef Calvo made tomato soup with some ingredients from our very own garden! Our students enjoyed this special treat which was made possible through the efforts and sponsorship of Green Our Planet and Bank of America!
